Welcome!

This is an exciting time at Lutheran Life Villages, as we look back at our history of excellence, and cast our gaze toward a bright future. We’ve been providing retirement-living options and compassionate Christ-centered care to older adults in northeast Indiana for 80 years, and we’re very proud of that tradition. Now, we’re building on that experience. We’ve embarked upon a campaign to further enhance the lives of our residents and serve an even greater number of older adults.

We recently opened the Village at Pine Valley, a brand-new, state-of-the-art skilled-nursing and rehabilitation campus on Coldwater Road. In addition, we’re making significant upgrades to our other campuses: the Village at Anthony Boulevard on the south side of Fort Wayne and the Village at Kendallville.

Retirement living—time to slow down and watch the grass grow? Not at Lutheran Life Villages! Our calendar of events is always full.

Take our warm, welcoming independent-living community in Fort Wayne, for example. It’s alive with activity every day. Finding time to participate in all we offer is the real challenge for residents—even when they don’t have to worry about household chores anymore. We provide a wide variety of programs and activities that benefit the body, mind, and spirit.

There are fitness and exercise classes, such as tai chi and yoga, and fun stuff like Wii tournaments and chair volleyball. Our own Heritage Trail is a wonderful venue for either exercise or relaxation. Bible-study classes, daily chapel services, the weekly Children’s Chapel, and hymn-singing groups are all examples of the pastoral staff’s spiritual guidance.

Then there are clubs and groups that join people who share similar interests. There are classes such as creative writing to stimulate the mind. We have cooking demonstrations, musical performances, intergenerational programming, and special outings to community events such as Germanfest. We also have our own woodworking shop, computer lab, movie theater, gift shop, game rooms, and restaurant.

Of course, there’s also bingo and plenty of card games. Did we mention happy hour?

Our philosophy of promoting overall wellness among residents and staff extends to our nursing communities, too, where we not only provide the highest-quality care, but we also encourage residents to live life to the fullest by participating in activities.

Maybe the most important “amenities” you’ll find at Lutheran Life Villages are friendship and community. You’ll meet new people from all walks of life, many of whom share your life experiences.

“We should have moved in years ago!” is a comment we’ve heard often at Lutheran Life Villages. Don’t wait—make this your year. Come join in the excitement here at Lutheran Life Villages.
