Independent Living

Independent living with Lutheran Life Villages is the perfect retirement-living option for people 55 and better who have no intention of retiring from life. Independent living is a wonderful way to shed the responsibilities of home ownership and to have the time and freedom to pursue your personal interests and active lifestyle. No more household repairs, yard work, shoveling snow, or budget-breaking heating bills. No more “honey-do” lists for family members when they visit. At Lutheran Life Villages, we take care of all the chores. Our staff is always busy making sure the buildings and grounds are beautifully maintained, and that includes gardens and picnic areas. There’s even a putting green.

Choose from 17 floor plans, from spacious studios to one- and two-bedroom apartments with more than 1,500 square feet of living space. We also offer covered parking and housekeeping services. And while you’re free to prepare you own meals, residents rave about the delicious heart-healthy fare served at the restaurant right on campus. You’ll also like the 24-hour security, and if you want to take a vacation, just close the door behind you and go—we’ll make sure your belongings are safe.

But that’s just the beginning. Independent-living residents enjoy a host of amenities and services. We provide a wide variety of programs, activities, special events, and group outings aimed at promoting your overall well-being. In fact, we have an entire department devoted to wellness. And there are clubs joining people who share similar interests and guest speakers who present on a variety topics important to older adults. In addition, many of The Village at Anthony Boulevard residents enjoy the intergenerational programming that joins them with students at Children’s Village, the early-learning center right on site.

We’ll also offer maintenance-free living and a long list of amenities and services at our new active residential community, on 40 acres along Coldwater Road north of Union Chapel Road on Fort Wayne’s north side. That campus is set to open in the spring of 2014. For more information, click here.
