Ministry

At Lutheran Life Villages, our Christian beliefs are a vital part of our ministry. Our mission statement reads, “As an expression of Christ’s love, we serve individuals and their caregivers with compassion and respect for independence, wellness, and spiritual life.”

Our mission is our way of life. We are a Lutheran organization, Christian at its core, and there is no better comparison than to Christ himself as an example of care and love as we serve and work with others. Lutheran Life Villages is an affiliated and recognized social ministry of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of America and the Lutheran Church–Missouri Synod, respectively.

To that end, we have a full-time chaplain leading our Pastoral Care Department, part-time LCMS chaplains serving our campuses in Fort Wayne and Kendallville, and we welcome visiting clergy as well.

At the same time, however, we welcome—as residents, members of staff, and volunteers—people of all faiths and walks of life.
